Hillarys Yacht Club offers the best of the best when it comes to activities on and off the water for you and your family and a range of membership options are available to suit everyone. Since forming in 1986 the club has always prided itself on and has maintained its relaxed and informal atmosphere, whether its taking part in a water sport, attending any of the club's social activities or just enjoying the ocean views on a Summer's afternoon from the club's verandah or the back of your boat. The normal period of membership is twelve (12) months commencing on May 1st each year. The following benefits are offered to you as a full member:

New applications


Application forms must be completed in full. Hillarys Yacht Club requires the application form to be Proposed & Seconded by two current financial members of Hillarys Yacht Club. The nomination fee is required in full on submission of your application form. The fee can be paid by cash, EFTPOS, credit card or cheque. Prospective members will then be contacted by the club and an interview will be organised with a club officers. Interviews are relaxed and informal and run for a approximately 20 minutes.

Applications will then be submitted for endorsement at the monthly Management Committee Meeting (please note; applications must be submitted two weeks before the Management Meeting in order to be endorsed at that months meeting, meetings are held at the end of every month). After you have been endorsed, new members will be notified by mail.



Membership fees


The following membership fees are applicable for the period 1st May 2008 - 30th April 2009.

In-house levy


The in-house levy is application to family, single, senior citizen, corporate and social members only. An in-house levy of $45.00 will be invoiced to your account in February, May, August and November each year. The levy then subsidises a credit (up to $180.00 per financial year) for you to use for food & beverage expenses. Any levy money not spent within the current financial year, 1st May to 30th April will be invalid. This levy is not redeemable for cash. The in-house levy can be redeemed for in-house services and assist in maintaining even patronage levels throughout the year.
