Cruising in Company stay social, even in the wet winter weather!
Thanks to our Captain’s Chris and Sue Blackney for organising the “Winter Cruise Event” to Burns Beach Café for a delightful 8.30am breakfast outing. Most of those that attended chose to drive as the weather was wet and windy, 25-30 knts from the west with heavy rain at times, bike riding from the club and walking in from Ocean reef was just out of the question. Winter was with us as predicted.
The response was outstanding, with 20 members attending and occupying a large portion inside the café. Some members enjoyed Sunday breakfast a week earlier, “some confusion about the date “, but that’s a great excuse to get out and enjoy the venue, I believe.
Conversation between members was great and varied, enjoyed over the lovely food washed down with delightful coffee and or pots of tea. The CIC group received prompt and efficient service from the staff at Burns Beach Café during a busy morning session, making for an enjoyable time. Sadly the morning slipped away very quickly and we concluded our long breakfast around 10.45am , with the group returning safely to their respective homes amidst the wild rain storms cutting across the coast. Some headed off to the footy at Optus Stadium, good luck with staying dry at the venue!
